Controversy surrounds Apple's Finder, with many preferring the usability of the original Mac OS 9 version over the current Mac OS X interface. Anticipation builds as rumors suggest a completely redesigned Finder may be introduced in the upcoming Mac OS X 10.5, codenamed Leopard, potentially addressing long-standing usability concerns.

There has been a lot of controversery around the Finder, Apple's interface to all these files & folders which remain on your harddrive. Although still a lot more usable than the Windows Explorer, many people claim that the original Mac OS 9 Finder was way better in terms of usability - and hoped and hoped Mac OS X release after release for a new version.

Now it seems Apple works on it again, there appeared rumors of a new Finder to be released with Mac OS X 10.5 (Codenamed Leopard).
