Windows 7

Windows 7 screenshots reveal updated versions of Paint and Wordpad, featuring the Ribbon Style from the new Office. Despite this enhancement, Paint appears dated, retaining features from Windows 95. This raises questions about Microsoft's innovation, as the operating system seems to be a repetitive cycle rather than a significant evolution.

Windows 7

So the first Windows 7 Screenshots are out. They depict enhanced versions of Paint and Wordpad. It's remarking to see that the Ribbon Style, well known from the new office, seems to have made it's way into the whole OS. While I like that, I wonder about innovation. Paint just looks as crappy as ever. We have 2008 and the next Version of Windows' (supposedly 2010) Paint will contain the very same basic set of features we already had in Windows 95, about 15 years ago? Microsoft seems to just build the very same OS over and over again.
